We the undersigned strongly support a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, fraud and graft in all sectors of our Malawian society.
However, we feel that the way in which the Malawi government is tackling these cases leaves a lot to be desired. We feel that there is a lot of injustice in the way these cases are dealt with. While some people are brought to justice e.g. Hon. Mwawa, others involved in similar cases are allowed to go scot-free e.g. Hon Ntaba, Mr. Kutengule etc.
We, therefore, would like to petition your Excellency Sir to explain this situation. We believe that failure to explain these issues to us, the tax-payers and the electorate, compromises your inauguration speech and commitments to transparency and a zero-tolerance approach to corruption. Furthermore, it also risks your integrity as a national leader and our trust in you and your government.
