Sub: Demand for Full Inquiry and Quick Justice in Murder of Ruchir Mishra
Ruchir Mishra, an honest and a dedicated officer who was working as project associate in a joint project of Bharat Petroleum corporation Ltd and Indian School of Petroleum, was kidnapped and Murdered on 11 November 2005. His body was found on 14 November 2005.
He was brutally murdered for the integrity and honesty he so strongly believed in.
He was also tortured for ransom and then poisoned (according to eyewitnesses).
Further the handling of the case by the police leaves much to be desired.
This has very serious implications on the spirit of honesty and such a sacrifice cannot be allowed to go in vain.
We request your action to ensure justice.
As a specific action we would like to have an independent inquiry and ensure that the family receives justice for this brutal act. Further we urge for a future policy to evolve, so that such honest officers do not suffer a similar fate
