Justice For Victims Of War--Release Military Videos Now

We are deeply concerned with the indiscriminate and perhaps deliberate nature of Israel's airstrikes on densely populated areas all around Lebanon. While we demand that these attacks be immediately halted for the sake of allowing diplomacy to take reign, we also seek justice for those innocents who have been killed, maimed, and traumatized by the attacks that have already taken place.

Because the Israeli military selectively releases high-resolution video of targets that may or may not be Hizballah fighters, rockets, smugglers, or weapons stores immediately before they are fired upon, we can conclude that the Israeli military may be in possession of similar videos for most, if not all, of the precision operations it has carried out.

We ask first that the Israeli government confirm the existence of these videos, and second, that it release each and every one of them into the public domain for investigation by all interested parties. Analysis of these videos will allow for thorough reports on whether or not the Israeli military, or members of it, have been intentionally or knowingly targeting areas populated by civilians.

As a secondary note, we encourage all militaries in the world to abide by similar standards of transparency, and to release video recordings of military operations after they have been conducted for the sake of building up the public trust and maintaining standards of due process.
