Justice NEEDED for the 31 Puppies Seized in Clarington
For the past 5 years, we have attempted to intervene on behalf of countless animals clearly in distress at the neighbouring puppy mill. The dogs, left unattended for days at a time and the horses breaking out of paddocks in search of water.
If you live in the Durham Region, you may have heard/read about 31 puppies being rescued from a puppy mill several weeks ago.

What you have NOT heard/read is that despite the 31 puppies being taken from the filthy home on Concession Rd 7 in Enniskillen, the owner was still left in the care of several older dogs and a horse.
Now, how is it that an Oshawa couple was charged with animal cruelty charges and sentenced to a lifetime ban of ever living with or owning animals again (http://www.durhamregion.com/community/petsanimals/article/1329290--oshawa-couple-pleads-guilty-to-animal-cruelty-charges), yet the owner of the puppy mill is still allowed to keep some adult dogs and a horse?!?!? The Durham Region Humane Society has already deemed the conditions of this home as appalling, so why is this owner not being charged and having all animals taken away?
We hoped that it wouldn't come to this, but we now need the help of you, the public, to stand up for the poor animals that remain in this person's care and ensure that this puppy mill does not start up again. This person needs to be charged and banned from ever owning animals again.
