resettled to a third country due to the hardships and very deteriorating living condition in Yemen. Recently formalities were
Under process to resettle theses refugees in USA ,unfortunately the committee which was sent to finalize to the resettlement
has unfairly denied only the civilians resettlement to USA.
I am organizing an international effort in order to enable the Ethiopian civilian refugees (with their family) that have been in
Yemen for the last 15 years starting from May 1991 who Presently suffering in Sana'a.
As I have been one of the civilians who crossed the red sea in the same boat with the naval and civilian refugees and have
been resettled to USA due to an extreme situation which led to my early resettlement process,I am asking you to write to the
President Ali Abdullah Sallah president of the republic of Yemen, to , President Bush, member of the United States Congress,
Congressional Black Caucus, Mr. Kofi Annan UN, Secretary General, Congressional Caucus on Ethiopian and Ethiopian-
Americans, the international human rights organizations, international communities, the African Watch, the Ethiopian
Community in North America, the American and the international media, UNHCR, Geneva and Yemen, Ambassador of Yemen
His Excellency Ambassador Abd al-Wahhab Abdallah al-HAJRI in support of the Ethiopian civilian Refugees in the republic of
Yemen.
For your information, the refugees who fled for their life with the Navy and denied the resettlement are
8 men with their wives and 9 children.
