This petition is to solidify the passion, appreciation, and love that Cardinal fans have for "the machine" to upper management. Albert is a best player in baseball and even a better person.
Reasons to resign Albert
1. Leadership - Albert displays the type of qualities any organization looks for in their leaders. He is self sacrificing, humble, appreciative, fearless, hardworking, and always looks to improve.
2. Talent / Skill - The best in the game now, arguably one of the greatest to ever play. This commercial from the MLB sums it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORtZrsJuhn0
3. Production - This is what employers pay employees to do: TO PRODUCE! The man's career average is over .330, hits more than 30 HRs consistently, scores over 100 runs (Ricky Henderson had 940 runs in first 9 yrs, Pujols: 1,071).
4. Model Citizenship - Every other day a sports story breaks about an athlete being involved in a nightclub incident, some other run in with the law, or airing a team's dirty laundry to the media. Albert participates in none of this. The modern day athlete is paid millions of dollars and our kids worship the ground they walk on. If we want someone to look up to, how about Albert? Albert is a family man and a man of faith, which motivates him to live a life of integrity and compassion.
