This is a petition to attempt to persuade the Producers at Emmerdale to re - think their decision to allow actor Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Ivan Jones, to leave the programme. I, along with many other viewers, feel that Daniel is an immensely talented actor, and his character is a very promising one. There is so much more that can be done with the character of Ivan, and yet so many opportunities to do so already, have been wasted. I have taken the opportunity to create this petition on behalf of all the Emmerdale viewers who share my opinion that Daniel and his character shouldnt leave the programme yet, especially when there are still endless possibilities and storylines for the character of Ivan, particularly his on screen relationship with the character of Paul Lambert, played by actor Mathew Bose, which many viewers feel has a lot more potential in it yet.

I am gay and i think the ivan and paul storyline helped me come out to my friends. he is an inspiration - keep him in please. i'm sure im not the only one from those characters! He is amazing!

If Daniel did not decide to leave, then I cannot stress enough what a mistake is being made by not renewing Daniel's contract. Superb actor, great character!
