To the controller of programming at CBC:
Emmerdale is a hugely popular television show both in Canada and the rest of the world. Millions have watched and in the UK it regularly beats the number one soap when scheduled head to head. Many people from the UK consider the current point CBC is at as the start of the best years of the show.
Despite the UK setting the show contains issues and scenarios relevant to the Canadian people and there are many North American based fan sites online devoted to life in the Dales.
Many viewers enjoy this show and had looked forward to the increase in weekly episodes as we entered a new year. Now it seems we will not have this as CBC plan to discontinue the show in favour of more home based programming.
Please dont scrap Emmerdale !
