We, the residents of Ballantrae, hereby affirm that we oppose the removal of the cattails from our ponds. The CDDs proposed expenditure of $50,000 to remove the cattails and replace them with other plants is a misuse of our funds. Please reconsider this frivolous expenditure.

I agree, use the money to have the lawns of foreclosed homes cut. The cattails are the normal "flora" for a pond, they are part of a ponds ecosystem. Sounds to me like this is a personal preference rather than an aesthetic issue, what's next are we going

I was at the 8/4/08 CDD Meeting. They didnt say they were paying 50k for cat tails. They asked Aquagenix to come in and assess the ponds and remove what they should of removed from the begining at no charge. Then they are suppose to get estimates for clea
