"I would love to see our extraordinary president Dr. Modesto A. Maidique to be remembered by community in a certain special way, nevertheless it is inappropriate and inconsiderate for the current proposal to re-names the well-known name "University Park"."

"The university should perhaps be named after its creator. President Maidique's contributions, though large, do not commend such an honor. I would have the medical building named after him, since he has strived for the med school for years."

"At the rate FIU is running out of money, the 1 class that we might be able to afford is going to be held in the parking garage... just to save more money on a/c and lighting. Why waste more money?"
