Legal address use for Grand Coulee

The Town of Grand Coulee uses an outdated home addressing system and our postal code is not in the postal code database. It is long overdue that we should use our civic address and a unique postal code. To accomplish this, the Town must petition the Post office. I have approached the Town and they do not want to do this at this time. I intend to ask the Council to reconsider, and if necessary to make it a referdum on the next civic election. To accomplish this We need at least 98 Citizens of Grand Coulee to begin the referdum process.
Our postal code (main office, downtown Regina) is not in the postal code database, therefore applying and receiving new services is difficult and sometimes incorrect (some agents will put S4P2Z5 in as that one is in the system). Several companies will not deliver to Boxes so accommodations must be made. Some insurance companies use postal code crime rates to determine insurance rates. This happened to me when I noticed a jump in my home insurance rate and when I inquired about it, they used the Pense postal code to reduce my premium.
The Town asked for comments through the Facebook and received about 40 comments with about 55% opposed. Some of the comments;
Hardship to change ID. Hardship would be being a Christian in a Roman arena, this is hardly a hardship, merely an inconvenience. Ten of thousands of people move every month in Canada, and they encounter this inconvenience. The express address site will change your address in one easy step for services such as
Telephone Water and Sewer Vehicle Registration Natural Gas Health Cards Library Cards Driver's Licence Security Services Electricity Internet TV
Most banks have address change forms on their site, so very easy
Some misinformed comments, mentioned passports. So simple to open the passport and write the new address. Nothing else to do.
In closing, Grand Coulee addressing should move to civic addresses, please sign the petition
