Legalize the recreational use of Marijuana in Ireland.

We, the; good, honest, just, tax paying, law abiding, voting, and contributing people, strongly feel as though it is time for the decrimialization of the recreational use of Marijuana, as well as the persecution of users, for means of medical and non-medical reasons alike, to cease and desist. Nay, do we make but few complaints, protests and rebellions against the state regarding our expected contributions to the whole, be it financial or a plethora of compromises, yet on this subject, we truly feel as though the state and it's affiliates have no God given right to intervene or at that, dictate how we choose as free people to unwind, deflate after the stresses of the week, or relax. As long as it is safe, causes no harm to another human being, or interferes with the structure of the entirety.

For years, our hard earned monetary gains and wages have gone to housing thousands upon thousands of Marijuana users, distributors and growers, incarcerated, and subjected to the full extent of the justice system, for merely associating themselves with a natural substance that harmlessy grows from the Earth, and has benefited millions around the world more than it has hurt. Ironically, whatever pain or negative outcomes and aspects the very taboo subject of Marijuana use has indeed spurred, has been caused by the rampant exploitation by the media, naysayers, and conservatives, whose never ending and uneducated protests have sparked drug wars leading to unnecessary deaths in association with the smuggling and ilegal trafficking of Marijuana. All while the fight against Cocaine, Heroin and Methamphetamines goes unabated, and rapists, repeat drunk drivers, gang affiliates and murderes wander the streets aimlessly free on bail and parole.

In retrospect we feel as though in regards to other options of recreation and ease of ailments, such as alcohol, cigarettes, which are perfectly legal despite their cancerous repercussions and dire consequences, and over the counter or prescription medicine, Marijuana, and it's use, perhaps with certain restrictions and regulations, would be the safer choice. As you aware, it's consumption and use has just recently been legalized in the state of Colorado, in the United States of America, with absolutely wonderful and prosperous results, including an increase in state revenue, and an economic boost that is sure to only increase through out the year.

Please, we implore you, consider the legalization of Marijuana here in Ireland, for the benefit of us all. We are willing to speak in the house, and we are willing to speak on behalf of all users, both of EU and Non-Eu affiliation, to compromise and come to an agreement that is fair and right for us all.
