Let Blu-Ray die. The format war has gone on long enough. HD DVD is better for the consumer.

The format war has gone on long enough. HD DVD is all about the consumer, with cheaper prices and better technology. Clearly, disc space is not an issue for either of the formats. HD DVD has 15, 30, and soon 51 GB discs. Blu-Ray has 25 and 50 GB discs. So, again that's not an issue. It's all about the consumers and Blu-Ray with it's expensive players and the ridiculous update issues (current Blu-Ray players don't have internet connectivity unlike HD DVD) is not a consumer-friendly format. HD DVD provides much cheaper prices, the dual-combo format (HD DVD on side, DVD on the other) making the movies worth more for your money, and they even managed to squeeze in better technology (HDi) than Blu-Ray.
Blu-Ray is behind Sony (Remember VHS vs. Betamax?)
HD DVD is behind Toshiba.
Will you trust Sony leading the format? They lost once and you might consider the UMD format to have lost so will you trust them again?
The studios need to realize it's about the consumers and Blu-Ray is not consumer-friendly.
And for those of you who like to buy import movies, if you invest in Blu-Ray you won't be able to play those.
HD DVD has no region locking so you can play movies from foreign countries on your HD DVD player. Blu-Ray has you locked up.
