Let Dogs back onto Folly Beach Full Time!

I realize that a new law regarding dogs was made starting May 1st 2011 and does not end until September 2011. I find this new law to be unjust and has given me a more negative outlook on Folly Beach. I just adopted a six month old starving puppy named Elvis whom I love like a son. I spent days and dollars bringing him back to health and now I take him everywhere and enjoy every minute of his company. The one thing I love as much as him is Folly Beach. But now the city has made it difficult for me to enjoy both so I have started this petition to allow dogs back on the beach full time. I believe I am not the only one who feels that their dog is like a family member and that having their dog at the beach makes them happy. A thousand dollar fine for having a family member at the beach seems outrageous and unfari. So please, reconsider your new rule or allow me and the other dog lovers to negotiate for a more reasonable law.
