To us, East Fife Football Club is important. It is a Club we love and cherish as a part of not only our lives, but the local community, in our lifetime and beyond. It is a Club steeped in history and pride. It is also a Club that we do not want to see being destroyed by mismanagement and misjudgement.
We feel that the recent refusal of East Fife's Board to accept the East Fife Supporters Trust's 10,000 offer to purchase shares in the Club was foolish, blinkered and misguided. The acceptance of this offer would have given the Club a much needed financial boost and cash injection, at a time when the fortunes of the Club on the field are at an all-time low and moral amongst the supporters matches that.
We urge all of the current Board of Directors of East Fife Football Club to stand proud, show ambition and act for the future of the Club by reversing your original decision and accepting the East Fife Supporters Trust's offer to purchase shares in the football club, with immediate effect.
