I am starting this petition to give everyone a chance to let his or her voices to be heard at the Parole Hearing of Mike Regan, 2-11-10. Mike Regan was charged with 1st degree murder because it WAS a first degree murder. He killed Linda by choking her to death while looking into her face and has never show ANY remorse. He hates women and likes to hurt them. She wanted nothing more to do with him and his ego couldn't take it so he killed her in a fit of rage. Then he dumped her body on the bank of an irrigation ditch like a sack of garbage, and then went back to her house to cover his tracks. The police could do nothing because she couldn't be considered a missing person for another 72 hours. Then they still couldn't do an investigation for another eight days until what was left of her body was found. The only way they could get a murder charge against him was for him to confess to the murder which he agreed to do for a reduced sentence of 2nd degree murder. Second degree murder doesn't in any way lesson the horror and cruelty of his crime. When he was sentence, three times the judge called him a cold blooded killer from the bench and sentenced him to life in prison, BUT second degree murder means you are eligible for parole after 5 years. (Now every 3 years thereafter). Linda was only 30 years old when he killed her and with a life expectancy of 70+ years, that means he stole 40 years of her life. Second degree murder also means Linda's family have to relive her murder every 3 years, which is the maximum time they can give him. So PLEASE, help us keep this COLD BLOODED KILLER off the streets!!!!!!!!
