Dear Etisalat,

We would like to express our dissatisfaction with the billing system you are using for the fixed phone line (home and businesses). The bills delivered to the customers show only the details for the international calls, but not for charged local calls. Local calls charges are unclearly shown under total Units charges. All of us pay hundreds or thousands without knowing details of those units. This is extremely NOT acceptable.

Wherever a customer buys an item from any modern grocery store, he receives a detailed receipt for that even if this is a 0.25 fils piece of chocolate!! But not in Etisalat?

Etisalat should not continue satisfying its greed in achieving more profits by hiding the unit details from the customers.

We, the customers, have the right to know what we are paying money for exactly, hence the phone bills must show EVERY charged call in details whether it is a local or an international call.

We believe that knowing those details will help us have more control on how to reduce our home or businesses bills by identifying where we spend most (of course, Etisalat doesnt like this idea because it means less money in their pocket).

Etisalat policy and the disappointing fact: currently the customer will have to visit Etisalat, pay an additional 100Dhs to receive such details. Furthermore, the provided details will show the first 5 digits of the dialed number. This takes us back to early 80s when we used to have 5 digits phone numbers!!!

Etisalat has the obligation to improve this shortcoming at ZERO cost on the customer. Etisalats Dhs2000 Millions of profit has enough margin for printing additional pages/bill.

Simply, the fixed line bill shall have the same level of details (called number, time, duration and charge) as the mobile phone bill. This is how it should be done and this how it is done by other modern telecom companies. Hopefully, we will have an alternative once the new telecom companies starts business in UAE if you continue to ignore your customers comments.
