We, the residents of Lincoln County, New Mexico, believe the economy of Lincoln County is dependent upon tourism. Tourists are attracted to the beauty of the area. In order to grow our economy and maintain the beauty that attracts our visitors, we support the continued existence of an Extraterritorial Zoning Authority and Extraterritorial Zoning Commission created to protect development within a one-mile radius of Ruidoso.

Additionally, we support revisions to the current ETZ ordinances in order to reflect the desired growth needs of the community.
