Maintaining Southern AACI Office

We, the undersigned, demand the retraction of the effective closure of the AACI Southern office due to the termination of the only paid postition (part-time counsellor)in the region. This, at a time when we are in greater need of services because of the continued serious security situation, as well as increased economic challenges. This denies the largest area of Israel of any services, including Kiryat Gat, Ashkelon, Beersheva, Eilat, and all the development towns and small communities in between (Sderot, Dimona, Netivot, Ofakim, Yerucham, etc.)The office serves all Anglo olim, students, volunteers, and visiting academics, and fulfills a great need, not met by any other organization in the south.

IT is disappointing that such a step is even being considered. Southern growth needs to be encouraged not discouraged. The AACI office here is an absolute necessity.
