Make YM a Comfort Zone for All

The YM (Your Magazine) boards are not welcoming to people of all sexual orientations.

First of all, look at the title of this category: http://boards.ym.com/category.jspa?categoryID=3 "Boys". This is NOT welcoming to the members of the YM boards who might not like boys, but instead like girls.

Secondly, look at the title of this board: http://boards.ym.com/forum.jspa?forumID=24 "Dating and Boyfriends." What about their members who don't have boyfriends, but girlfriends? How are they supposed to feel welcomed? And how can they feel welcome when the descriptions for all three subcategories mention boys, but not girls? Look at the following descriptions:

Crushes: Have a crush on a guy and don't know how to deal? Bursting to tell all about your crush? Feeling crushed by a crush? This is where you can spill.

Dating and Boyfriends: Are you seeing someone, or are you in a long-term relationship? Get straight talk about everything from communicating with your guy to meeting his parents.

LoveQs: Why do guys do the things they do? When you're feeling frustrated or just plain baffled by boys, come here to talk it over.

Notice how in each one, it refers to crushing on guys, meeting his parents, and pondering why guys do what they do.

We hope that YM will change their ways and their wording, and make YM a comfortable place for EVERYONE, whether they like boys or girls.
