Mansun DVD Tour Footage

Upon hearing the fantastic news about the release of a new Mansun CD and DVD this year, we would like to take this oppertunity to make a request.

Despite the vast number of recordings Mansun have put out over the years, one important aspect of the band has often been overlooked. Part of the appeal for many of us, was their stunning live shows; down to their energy, stage presence, and

ability to expertly adapt their songs to suit a live environment. Unfortunatly this side to the band has never been properly
represented and documented in the form of an offical release.
The Six tour in 1998 was argueably their greatest tour yet, due to the extended set length, amazing performances and wide song selection equally representing both albums to date, along with popular bsides.

This tour was filmed at a variety of venues back in the day, for the intension to be included on an official video; unfortunatly this video was never released. Therefore Mansun concert footage is hard to come by, availiable only to those in the know, who have access to a poor collection of amateur shot bootlegs, tv clips / highlights and a webcast.

Over the years they were together Mansun toured relentassly, peforming to thousands upon thousands of fans. Unfortunatly many fans, especially those who were too young, or lived abroad were witness these shows first hand. The rest of us would just like the oppertunity to relive the magic one last time, especially as the band aren't together anymore.

Although we appreciate the release of a DVD, a DVD consisting of only promotional videos / interviews, would be selling the band short. Adding the Six tour footage to the release, would give the DVD incredible value among fans and be an ideal way of signing off the band's career. Many of us would appreciate if the sound could be remastered and presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital / DTS, if this doesn't prove too costly.

The undersigned would like to show our support and appreciation for Mansun's live shows, and wish to be able to purchase a DVD featuring the Six tour in the near future.
We hope that our individual positive comments and suggestions are taken on board too.
