MANTECA AQUATICS COMPLEX/CENTER

We the undersigned residents of Manteca, California, request your consideration to invest in our Future with a very exciting project, one that will bring new opportunitiesand growth to our youth and community. Due to our enormous growth in this warm climate, we have a great need for an Aquatics Complex/Center.

1. We are all aware of the closing of the Oakwood Park/Water Slide Park in Manteca. We were known nationally for this recreational location. What are we currently known for? We need a new and exciting place for the people of our community to enjoy.

2. With the Parks and Recreational department, Manteca Dolphins Swim Team (with more the 220 youths swimming this year alone and anticipated growth each year), we need somewhere for these any many others in our community to become educated in water enjoyment and saftey.

3. To ensure that our future Olympic swimmers can call Manteca HOME and not sent them elsewhere such as is the current conditions.

4. What a Great Opportunity to build on our FUTURE as a GREAT SPORTS COMMUNITY! Aquatic Sports are based on principles of lifelong fitness. There is a demonstrated association between aquatic sports and positive academic performance.
