Massey Skate Park

If you have made it this far, then you have a clear interest in Massey and the neighboring suburbs. What I am proposing to the council is for a Skate park to be built for the youth of our area. We need your support! At the moment there are kids, youth, young adults and a general Skateboarding community that have no where to call their own, lets give them a safe recreational area for all to enjoy. Skateboard, roller blade and scooter riding are more popular than ever and we have an increasing amount of participants from West Harbor, Marina View, Massey, Kumeu, Hobsonville and Whenuapai who at the moment, have no where local they can participate in there desired sport. Ask yourself, have you ever complained at where your tax goes? Have you ever been in disbelief about hearing what your tax was spent on? If we join together and have this Skate Park built, we will see our kids, family and friends, enjoying an amazing recreational area and enjoying something that we as a community got behind and gave to our youth. This is our proposal to your Auckland City Council – We wish to have a skate park built, in Massey. There is a huge demand for it, and the people of our community back this project 100%, all we need now is you! Proposed area: Left hand side at the foot of the Massey Recreational Center driveway (see photos attached) Reason for this location: It is centralized to all. It is in a already popular recreational area. It is in an open and visible spot which will eliminate any dishonest use of the skate park. It is on a bus route, as well as close to an all ready popular and growing shopping complex. This particular plot of grass has been vacant for over 10 years and it will be perfect use for it.
