Pennsylvania's Child Labor Law makes it so a minor at either the age of 14 or the age of 15 can only work 3 hours a day, after school is through, as well as limiting the work time to 7pm at the latest. This is not acceptable. Most minors at the ages of 14 and 15 in the state of Pennsylvania don't go to sleep until around 9pm or 10pm, on regular school nights. Homework shouldn't take longer than an hour or 2 at most and most schools end the day between 2pm and 4pm for students at the ages of 14 and 15, making it likely that there will be time for homework after school. 3 hours at a minimum wage job will only allow a minor of 14 or 15 to take in $21.45 a school day, and only $107.25 a school week. With the economy problem in America only getting worse, a minor will need, and does need to save money for their future, and 3 hours a day is not enough. Therefore, I demand that the maximum amount of work hours for a minor in the state of Pennsylvania on a school day, be changed to 6 hours.
