91-year-old Mick Mcmanus was the greatest villain throughout the 25 glory years of televised British Professional Wrestling. Hi 1960s feud with Jackie Pallo gripped the nation and he wrestled on televsion an incredible 173 times. He was also a great charity worker, but due to his in-ring evil persona, could not be seen at that time to be too benevolent, so he kept his good works quiet. He was also a great ambassador for the integrity of British professional Wrestling, and a supporter of Amateur Wrestling.
After over 50 years service to the sport he helped make the most popular indoor tv sport throughout the sixties, it is high time he were honoured at a national level.
Wrestling heritage is the leading website dedicated to recording and preserving the golden years of British wrestling and already has Mick McManus's Honours Nomination lodged at Admiralty Arch.
However, we are urged to continue sending support documents and therefore ask you to lend your support by signing this petition.
An Honour for Mick McManus would represent also long overdue recognition for the British wrestling industry which has never received any such award.
