Move Farscape Timeslot

We, the ever-faithful fans of Farscape, do hereby request that The Sci Fi Channel, it's program directors, executives, and other people in a managerial role act with all possible haste in moving Farscape to a timeslot more commensurate with its status as an award winning, ground breaking, beloved pillar of Science Fiction.

We are a diverse, motivated, and passionate group -- dedicated to making our voices heard to save our show, Farscape, at any cost.

The undersigned represent a small cross-section of many communities and demographics; A small cross-section of the Farscape fan base, a small cross-section of the Sci Fi genre in general, and a small cross-section of the television viewing public at large.


we respectfully request that Farscape be moved to one of the following Time Slots, in order of preference.

-- Weekdays 5:00PM EST, replacing "Knight Rider"
-- Weekdays 8:00AM EST, replacing "Dark Shadows"
-- Sundays 10:00AM EST, replacing "Star Trek"
-- Sundays 9:00AM EST, replacing "Star Trek"
-- Saturdays 8:00AM EST, replacing an infomercial
-- Saturdays 7:00AM EST, replacing an infomercial
-- Saturdays 6:00AM EST, replacing an infomercial

We feel not only was the reason given for the cancellation of Season 5 of Farscape misleading, but that it was in fact completely incorrect. Farscape has proven itself with consistent gains across a wide range of demographics, throughout its history. Surely any one of the shows listed above, excepting the infomercials, gets lower ratings in its current slot than Farscape has in a far worse slot.

The undersigned do, however, recognize the driving force behind television shows; namely selling advertising time during the breaks. We realize that we must do our part to show support of Farscape not only to The Sci Fi Channel, but to its advertisers; this is a two way street.

To that end, we agree to support all advertisers who air commercials during episodes of Farscape, should it be moved to one of these slots, to the best of our ability as consumers. Furthermore, we will make every reasonable effort to let these advertisers know that their support of Farscape, by advertising during Farscape was a factor in our purchasing decision for their products.

We want Farscape back, and we're willing to fight for it with the weapon that matters most to your advertisers -- our wallets and purses. All we ask in return is that you fight for us as well, and do everything in your power to put and keep our beloved Farscape on the air in a time slot it deserves.
