Much needed console games

In my opinion a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) is needed for the current consoles or at the very least the Next-Gen gaming consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3, No paying not to release on other consoles and all the rivalry. Gamers who play Everquest 2 and Guild Wars.etc will know the sort of games i'm talking about, im thinking a major game released on PC and the consoles with Online Play between all of them, Pc users Vs Consoles :) Why isn't this possible on the newer consoles?
