This petition is for fans and other film lovers to show support for an independent film called, The Indian. The Indian was written, produced, and directed by first time film-maker James R. Gorrie. The film follows the journey of a father and son re-connecting after years apart through the restoration of a classic motorcycle, The Indian.
The father Skip, played by Sal Landi, comes back into his sons life after learning that he needs a partial liver transplant after years of drinking and doing drugs. The son Danny, played by Kyle XY's Matt Dallas, is an troublesome and angry teen who is resentful of his father's absence all these years. While Sal relives memories of his own father, he discovers his father's old Indian and hires a young girl Shelby, played by Alison Haislip, to help restore it who Danny eventually develops a crush on. While the three of them work on restoring the motorcycle, Skip and Danny also work on restoring their relationship.
This movie is currently being previewed at film festivals across the country such as the Palm Beach International Film Festival and the Breckenridge Festival of Film. The purpose of this petition is to gain national support for the movie and draw interest from possible distributors so it can be released to DVD and hopefully movie theaters across the nation!
