As you may be aware, the horse racing industry has been lobbying the provincial government to support our historic sport but at the same time, help to improve responsible gaming in the province of New Brunswick. Known as a Racino , this concept would see the Government allow VLTS in New Brunswick race tracks as a way to revitalize the industry, while at the same time, leading the way for what we feel is a controlled environment for these machines.
This concept has been a success story for both gaming and the horse industry in jurisdictions such as Ontario, Alberta, and in the province of Prince Edward Island. As the horse racing industry continues to lobby the government, we would like to ask for your support of this project for Saint John, N.B. This will help to keep our horsemen in NB and will provide stability to the business, while at the same time, we feel will improve gaming responsibility.
