New Jersey law requires the minimum age for a driver's permit to be 16 years old, and the minimum age for a driver's liscence to be 17 years old. Even when the person gets their liscence at 17, they have an extreme amount of rediculous restrictions. According to my research, every other US state has their permits as early as age 14 and their liscenses as late as 16. This is unjust that New Jersey is the latest with liscencing ages in the entire country. It is a small state, and there should be no reason to restrict its citizens so much.

I say that NJ should KEEP the current driving age of 17. After growing up in NJ and getting my license there and moving to GA, those who have their dl's early, are worse drivers than the elderly that can't see over the wheel or those who don't know what
