New Neighborhood Petition

"We, the concerned neighbors of the North of 10th Neighborhood, defined as the area bounded by the borders North of 10th, South of 14th, West of Piedmont Avenue, and East of Juniper, hereby petition the NPU-E to:









Recognize that the North of 10th neighborhood represents over 2,000 households and has goals and interests which are substantially unique and different than those of Ansley to our North and Midtown to our South. Therefore, we ask the NPU-E to formally recognize the North of 10th neighborhood as an independent neighborhood and eventually as a member organization within the NPU-E.









Currently, the Midtown Neighborhood Association includes us in their borders. BUT, our goals and interests are not taken into any consideration within the MNA Board of Directors. The NPU system was created to assure "citizen participation in the City's planning process," however we in the North of 10th neighborhood are being denied adequate opportunity to participate in and decide our own neighborhood position within the MNA.









Every neighbor should be able to have control over the fate of their own neighborhood. Homeowners living in the North of 10th Neighborhood should not have our interests, goals, and quality of life concerns ignored in favor of the interests of people who live outside our neighborhood."
