This petition is in response to Myspace users being permitted to post photos that blatantly show animal cruelty. Myspace allows members to post these photos without regard for either the sensibilities of other viewers who may see these photos or for the obviously dangerous and perhaps lethal situations these animals have been placed in. In more than one instance, photographs from illegal dog fights have been posted at Myspace with no repercussions for the posters. By not removing these pictures AND cancelling the memberships of those who posted them, Myspace is implicitly endorsing activities that are not only CRUEL, but ILLEGAL.
We ask that Myspace become proper, caring members of the community and agree to protect the rights of animals and their owners by not permitting the posting of photographs that show the torture of animals or participation in or endorsement of dog fights.
