We, the undersigned, being residents and electors in Peterborough note the following outcome of the City Council elections;
a) that more votes were cast against the current Conservative administration than for it
b) that the Conservative Party lost 4 seats and therefore its overall majority was lost
We feel this represents a vote of no confidence by the voters of Peterborough in Councillor Cereste as leader and his administration. We therefore feel an administration that has Councillor Cereste as its leader is democratically illegitimate and call upon all councillors at the Council AGM on June 16th to reflect the clearly expressed democratic wishes of the residents of Peterborough and refuse to confirm Councillor Cereste as Leader and vote for having no confidence in the current administration.
