No federal funding for adult-targeted celibacy promotion programs

Sex between consenting adults is a perfectly normal activity, and is an activity that is legally protected regardless of marital status. Furthermore, choosing to engage in sexual activity is a personal choice that should be fully recognized by the federal government. The government should respect that decision of its citizens without ridicule, judgment, or patronization. In accordance with the above statements, we believe the following:

The government would better fulfill its role of protecting its citizens and their rights by promoting education about birth control methods to unmarried adults under age 29, as opposed to encouraging abstinence-only education for unmarried adults under age 29.
