NO Power Plants in Hayward!

We all know about Global Warming and what it is doing to our planet. Well, in the city Hayward, CA in the greater San Francisco East Bay Area, is planning to build a POWER PLANT on the Hayward shoreline. Like, San Francisco Bay isn't anymore polluted, lets put a power plant that will contribute with:Natural Gas Pollution, Over 55 Tons of Ammonia released into the air per year, 86.4 Tons per year of PM10 (Particulate Matter), Nitrogen Oxides 134.6 Tons per year, Carbon Dioxide 584.2 Tons per year, Sulfur Dioxide 12.2 Tons per year and much more. This is the Russel City Power Plant that will run on turbine engines. Now there is also a proposal for a smaller power plant called, Eastshore Energy, which will be constructed on the intersection of neighborhoods, Chabot College, and other businesses. This power plant will contribute: Natural Gas Pollution, Over 55 Tons of Ammonia released into the air per year, 64.39 Tons per year of PM10 (Particulate Matter), Nitrogen Oxides 54.35 Tons per year, Carbon Dioxide 84.45 Tons per year, Sulfur Dioxide 6.63 Tons per year, and Precursor Organic Compounds 76.11 Tons per year. All of these numbers plainly mean, more pollution for the Bay Area. Especially the Ammonia; there will be large volumes of aqueous ammonia stored and transported regularly to and from both of these plants. Ammonia can cause everything from Asthma to Cancerous diseases. I think this about sums it up plainly. These numbers are way too high and some are over the limit, that by law they are limited.

More and more pollution is being released into our environment that is not need. And the City of Hayward does not need these power plants.
