No SB861

Whereas, the people of California supported the passage of California Food and Agriculture Code 31683, which precluded the passage of breed specific dog ordinances and codes in the state of California, we the undersigned residents of California ask the Legislature to pass no amendments to the aforementioned code. We further ask the California State Legislature to vote NO on SB861, sponsored by Senator Jackie Speier, D., South San Francisco, a Bill which would amend CA Agriculture and Food Code 31683 to allow for breed specific dog ordinances to be enacted in California cities and/or counties. Keep California free from breed specific dog ordinances. Protect our property rights in animals.
