No to Spyware in Battlefield 2142/EA Products

Electronic Arts (EA) has decided to place spyware in the retail package of the newest addition to the Battlefield series, Battlefield 2142. Many will only realize this only when they open the game and read the slip of paper inside, thus making a refund impossible. There is also no opt-out choice given to the end user. We, the undersigned, believe that this forced data-mining method is a serious invasion of privacy. Please do not include this type of data gathering in Battlefield 2142 and any future software, or offer an opt-out choice for those unwilling to participate in such activities.
