We, the undersigned, call upon HM Government to enact legislation before the next General Election which will have the effect of allowing voters to positively abstain from recording a vote in any and all UK government elections.
Often, upon entering the polling booth, voters are confronted with candidates, none of whom they wish to support. In a supposedly democratic country they should have the option of with holding their vote from any of the candidates whilst recording the fact that they have attended the polling station.
Therefore, at the bottom of each voting paper, there should be the option of voting for "None Of The Above".
