1. Ohio produces 6 million barrels of oil annually. Ohio ranks fourth in the country in drill wells. Ohio produces 88 billion cubic square feet of natural gas annually. Ohio produces 22 million tons of coal annually. Ohio has the potential to produce 418 million gallons of ethanol annually. Ohio is just now beginning to use wind energy and solar power. Ohio is a large agricultural state with the ability to sustain itself.

2. Ohio has proven oil reserves of 49 million barrels. Larger reserves are estimated to be found in Lake Erie, the Cincinnati Arch, Devonian Shale, Appalachian Basin, and through further exploration and drilling. Ohio has natural gas reserves of a trillion cubic feet, with an estimated 9 trillion cubic feet found in the Devonian Shale that it shares with other states. Ohio has 600 million tons of recoverable coal reserves, that can be liquified for use also. Ohio has some of the largest, unlimited wind reserves in the country to power the whole state, with estimated reserves able to be sold to other states. Ohio has 26 million acres of farmland, 76, 000 farms, and over $5 billion in agricultural commodity output yearly. Ohio has the 2nd largest oil refinery system in the Midwest.

7. Ohio has the 7th largest GDP of states and 8th largest personal income. It has one the most productive, skilled labor forces in the country, produces some of the most advanced science students in the country, and is consistently ranked in the upper levels of educational merit output among students in the country. By reducing corporate taxes to 5\% or zero, our factories will be put back to work and Ohio once again will become a global industrial force.

8. Commercially Ohio is a banking, insurance, and educational hub, as well as possessing great potential for tourism in the summer with the lakes and rivers, and winter with the slopes. It has 10 million citizens to support a commercial economy.
9. New alliances and trade agreements can be formed with like-minded breakaway states and nations of the world.
10. The name Ohio is Indian and does not reflect our heritage. Therefore the new name will not be Ohio. Lake Erie, the Ohio River, and other names not reflecting our true heritage will be changed.
Article Of Secession
11. A transitional government led by the ruling party of the people in the General Assembly House shall assume control over the State during the transition. They shall begin drafting a new constitution and implementing a financial system to be approved by voters. The transitional government shall begin forming new alliances and trade agreements in the interim.
The office of the Governor is hereby dissolved. The government of the State of Ohio is hereby dissolved and consolidated under the power of the ruling majority House party. The constitution and laws of Ohio shall be the law of land during the transition, with U.S. trade agreements remaining in effect as well as the U.S. currency maintained as the sole currency. All citizens are hereby ordered to possess an assault rifle and ammunition in the event of retaliatory action.
As retribution for ruining our state and stealing our jobs, the transitional country of Ohio hereby claims all U.S. Federal Government property within the Ohio border, including financial reserves in Cleveland and Defense property. All U.S. Federal agents and employees are encouraged to leave and it is hereby ordered that they cease operations within the borders of Ohio. Ohio claims complete sovereignty over it's share of Lake Erie and hereby orders all U.S. Federal operations to cease.
Off-shore platform construction for oil and natural gas drilling and extraction is hereby authorized and shall commence immediately in Lake Erie. All new oil and natural gas drilling is hereby authorized and ordered to commence immediately. All wind turbine contruction is hereby authorized and ordered to begin construction immediately. All new coal mines are hereby authorized and ordered to begin extraction immediately. All new ethanol plants are hereby authorized and ordered to begin construction immediately. All regulatory bureaucracy hindering the development of sustainability are hereby removed. All business activity in Ohio should remain operational and proceed as normal.
By the power vested in the State of Ohio by the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the State of Ohio hereby secedes from the United States and voids the existence of Ohio and union with the United States.
