The administration and professional staff of the University of Florida Department of Housing and Residence Education have decided to provide for a uniform policy regarding on-call shift scheduling. Effective Spring 2005, the priority with which RA/RCA staff may schedule on-call shifts shall be on a strictly random basis. Seniority (based on semesters of service) will not be used as a factor in determining the order in which staff members select their days and weekends on-call. Desk shifts scheduling priority will continue to be determined by seniority.
This petition aims to highlight the number RA/ARA/RCA staff that do not agree with this decision. By signing this petition you are helping to communicate to the professional staff how many staff members are opposed to this decision.
