We, the undersigned are asking "Cybiko, Inc." and/or "DatorTech," whomever
is in charge of the Cybiko Classic and Cybiko Xtreme, to Open Source their
Cybiko platforms (Classic, Xtreme) to the Cybiko community, and indeed,
the world.

The Cybiko Personal Inter-tainment system has become a perfect example of technological vision.
Cybiko's vision of swarm computing, over many hundreds or thousands of feet is now becoming a reality.
With technologies on the horizon like 802.11b wireless networking becoming ubiquitous, one could only
speculate as to the homebrew hobbyist's `hack` value for the Cybiko Personal Computer.

Were plans / schematics / design notes / and software available freely to the community, this could
very well breathe life into this now `dead` platform. Why let such a great concept die, when all that
has to be done is place the specifications under an Open Source license such as the GNU Public License?

The advantages to the community, and indeed, the manufacturer are limitless! Under an Open Source license
like the GNU Public License, the owner retains copyright to the program, but the source code is released
free to the community. Free in a sense, that the source code has been liberated and now the entire community
can contribute to pool of available, secure, peer reviewed software. Best of all, all contributions must be
made to the community! The net effect of this is that the manufacturer, in this case, will most likely never
have to invest in software development, ever again! In exchange, the hardware manufacturer would most likely
receive an increased demand! Imagine that! Cybiko's becoming cool again! The story of the PDA/Comm computer
died and born again! The Phoenix Arises!

This is of course, all speculation, but for a company who no longer makes revenue off of this device, this
change in paradigm could very well breathe life into this device, who knows? Manufacturing royalties?
This could be the first Open Source personal digital assistant platform. The opportunities are endless.

We, the undersigned ask sincerely that you Open Source the Cybiko platform, Schematics, Software, and Firmware.
This will bring you very great fame as an Open Source manufacturer, and might very well set a precedent
regarding legacy hardware. Don't let this great product die alone!
