OptusNet has announced today November 01, 2005 that it will be closing ALL Gaming Portals as of December 01, 2005

Although i am not a member of OptusNet, i do play frequently on their Enemy Territory servers, of which they have 6 currently active. Optus has ALWAYS been in front for Enemy Territory gaming, always having higher user count then GA.
Closing all gaming portals will also include closing the Optus Gaming Forum.

What's even more insane is Optus is willing to close peoples accounts with Optus at NO COST. Optus is willing to lose customers for free just to close down a few game servers. There has already been a large number of people indicating they will be disconnecting their Optus account because of this fallout.
I for one disagree with Optus closing down all connection with Gaming. KEEP IT UP OPTUS, DONT JUST RUN AWAY CRYING BECAUSE YOU ARENT THE BEST ONLINE GAMING ISP!!!!!
