We the people, of the United States of America, have violated Paris Whitney Hilton's rights as a U.S. citizen. The punishment she received for violating her probation clearly violated her eighth amendment right preventing cruel and unusual punishment. One might consider the previous statement ludicrous, but lets dive into this particular situation. Paris Hilton has lived a privileged life, one free of any real form of punishment, thus punishment in itself would classify as "unusual" in her case. That being true, a forty-five(45) day prison stay is violating her eighth amendment right. That is a very unusual punishment for said, Paris Whitney Hilton, and unusual punishment is often cruel, such as in this case. I feel that the punishment should be lifted and Paris should go back to living her privileged life of luxury and excess, so I can admire her disapproval of socially lower class people, in all her glory.
