We, the undersigned, residents of Bet Shemesh, demand that there be adequate parking spaces for customers at the Ramat Bet Shemesh shopping center at the corner of Nachal Tze'elim.
In the past few months, a bad situation became intolerable, when Avis Rent-a-Car moved their business in the center. They take up as many as 40 (forty!) parking spaces, causing customers undue difficulty as they try to find alternate parking.
It is the responsibility of the CITY GOVERNMENT to provide adequate parking for customers at this shopping mall, and if need be, Avis should be forced to find alternate ways to conduct their business. The parking lot should be reserved for customers, and not to allow a business to monopolize it for their puposes to the detriment of others.

Lately, the parking situation has become intolerable. I couldn't find a parking spot anywhere near Macabi and I almost missed my appointment. When I came out the police were ticketing all the cars that were parked illegally.

This is a truly urgent issue. There are times when one cannot stay to shop - or worse - make it to a doctor's appointment on time - simply for lack of parking space.

Even without the Avis situation, parking facility in the Merkaz is a joke. Instead of providing more parking spaces, the city took them away. This is Chelm.
