I have launched this campaign to increase in the maximum 52 week prison term / £20,000 fine for the murder or brutalisation of domestic pets. I hope that with enough support that animal lovers up and down the country will gain a voice and we can finally see a sentence befitting of the crime, and implemented nationally. The Law was changed in 2007 after 96 years to make people accountable. This law is seldom enforced, and it is my express intention to raise awareness and see a change to current legislation.
