Pennsylvania Residents: Say No To The Mon-Fay Extension

This petition is regarding the proposed extension of the Mon-Fay express alongside the Monongahela River and over the Duck Hollow area in Pittsburgh PA. This area, including the recently restored Nine Mile Run, serves as a natural refuge for wildlife and a peaceful recreational park for fishing and hiking. Health conscious citizens use the trail as an escape from the city scene, the last thing anyone wants is a highway and the pollution it produces hovering above. As an angler and environmentally concerned citizen, I also fear the damage the highway would pose to the ecosystem at Duck Hollow. Riverfronts are a valuable area as wildlife depends on water. I believe the whole area should be converted into a park. Frick and Schenley are cherished, but neither possess a river. Although, the Mon-Fay may relieve traffic, I think we should reconsider our values. Please sign this petition if you are opposed to the Mon-Fay construction over Duck Hollow. Thank You.
