Petition against the suckification of StarCraft II

This petition is for the immediate unsuckification of StarCraft 2(from here-on noted as SC2) by Blizzard. We also realize not all issues are verified as fact. If that is the case then we petition to keep it from becoming a reality.

Let me start by stating that we are very excited for SC2, being huge fans. This game is the our obsession which we choose to indulge in upon release. Some of us has followed the news on the development of SC2 more that we would like to admit. We appreciate the original and want nothing but success for the second installment. If we met a creator of this game in a bar, we would most definitely buy that person a beer(maybe more).

That being said, most fans feel that we have been betrayed and scammed by some recent rumors that are flying around about the game. The first being that there will be 3 installments of this game, sold as seperate games. This might be the most rediculous thing we have ever heard of. As much as you have enjoyed the success of World of Warcraft, we feel as if you have gone too far applying multiple releases of the same game to SC2. It is pointless and causes some of us to be turned off of SC2. We do not support this idea as it is like selling individual puzzle pieces; each piece being priced the same as a whole puzzle would be. I'm not sure who's idea this was, but we are not little kids following candy. We can be insulted. We would even settle for paying more than a normal game for ALL three parts, were they provided at the same time. Not as much as three times the normal price but an amount REASONABLY above normal game sales price would even be acceptable. That being said, it is not a 100\% turn off to sell these 3 seperately. But know that many will only buy a first installment and not care or will have insufficient funds to buy the rest.

The second issue we have is the rumor that LAN will not be provided with the retail sale of this game. Now we love BNET, it's a great way to connect to play with others; it's use to this very day is a testament to that. On the other hand, gamers love to play against friends in one room. It makes trash talking and having fun infinitely better than it would be had everyone been in their own houses. This feature might seem unimportant to you but have you ever tried connecting 3 people in the same house to the same BNET game? It's not playable, no matter what connection the household has. I realize this issue can be fixed with a patch/update or whatnot; but the real point here is you are selling an incomplete game, all while fully aware of the issue.

All this being said, we fully respect and enjoy your games and your company. These issues are what we feel need to be address in order to win us back to your product. With much love for your company we ask that you fix these two issues.
