Petition demanding the removal of Canada Posts Board of Directors

The direction Canada Post has been heading over the last several years has led them from one failure to another. They have failed to manoeuvre the corporation to adapt to a changing business climate, implementing their modern post project in a haphazard and harmful manner. They have failed to improve service to the public and their actions have decreased the dependability of their service. They have failed to maintain a healthy work environment for their employees and have pushed them into an unnecessary and unwarranted labour dispute. Now with their most recent announcement of their intentions to reduce mail delivery to three days a week, they have even failed to uphold the Canadian Postal Service Charter.

Their failures ultimately stem from a misguided attempt to run a public service as if it is a fortune five hundred company. These failures among others, are more than enough to warrant their dismissal. We the undersigned call on the Government of Canada to fire Canada Posts Board of Directors.
