Petition for a company to make a realistic PBA bowling game for Xbox 360, PS2/3, Wii
Alright, I know what some of you are thinking and that is a realistic bowling game? Cmon that wont happen, bowling doesnt appeal to people and its just a bunch of fat people that drink beer and eat greasy food and just bowl. Well there might be some people like that but there is also A LOT of people who bowl in leagues all over the world. They have a pro league called the PBA (Professional Bowlers Assoatation). Bowling was huge in the 70s, 80s and even the 90s on TV. It was on ABC every Saturday but the contract was expired in 1997 and ever since then it hasnt been the same somewhat. Its on ESPN now which it appears on Sundays and they got a major Sponsor Dennys.
As far as bowling games are concerned, well..we really havent seen a good game be created. One that I can think of would be Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling which was released in the late 90s for PS1. It was a good game, you had a round of tournaments but that was really it. It was a good game but since then, I really havent seen a great bowling game.
There have been a few that have been released for Xbox, PS2, Wii and all of the games have been cartoonish, not a lot of modes and the controls were bad. Wii sports made a good attempt with the bowling part but it needs to be tweaked.
There are a lot of games out there that are amazing to play and that is because there are a lot of modes, well I wonder why that cant be done for bowling. Dont bowling fans everywhere deserve a bowling that is huge like other sports games out there? What Im trying to say is that I would like a game that would have everything such as a real career mode where you start off as a bowler who bowls in local leagues and then you build yourself up and bowl in amateur tournaments and eventually make your way onto the PBA Tour and bowl with all the pros! As well I would like a good create a bowler mode where you have a lot of choices and can even import your own face from a picture that you upload online like what EA did with Tiger Woods 08. As well, there would be some mini games and a bunch of modes like practice, single game, teams, tournament and even a franchise mode where you are the president of the PBA and you have to look after the entire league and at the same time being a professional bowler and competing with other pro bowlers trying to beat your scores each week.
As well I would like the controls to be really good. For consoles like 360 and PS3, it would be easy as you would have two bars. One for power and the other for accurately However for the Wii, I hope it would be REAL. Ive played other bowling games for the wii and the controls are such a mess that I dont even play them anymore. They are not like Wii bowling where you are shown the full approach and if you turn your wrist a little bit, it over hooks and your in the gutter!
Also, the oil conditions would change through out the game like in real life. There would be a lot of oil but as other bowlers bowl, the oil dries up and your ball hooks more so you have to adjust on the lane by moving left or right and see how many boards you have to in order to find your sweet spot to get amazing strikes.
As far as presentation goes, well it would start off with you in a local league so the alley wouldnt look good but when you bowl better and make more tournaments, the bowling alleys would have more logos and sponsors and then the big time where you make it to the PBA tour and have a lot of stage lights and a huge crowd to deal with!
I would like a big video game such as EA or any company to do this for bowling fans around the world! A bowling game where there are a lot of modes, that has good graphics and presentation and a game that has good controls!!!
This can be done people, you just have to believe. Im trying to get enough signatures so that I can prove to the video game companies that people do care about bowling enough for them to make a realistic bowling game! Thanks for your time and I hope we can get a game made in the process. So PLEASE EA, 2K Sports and others to come around and create a masterpiece that fans can be proud of!
