Petition for Proportional Representaion

AV was put forward by a party which did not want change in light of the known General Publics desire for proportional representaion. The NO to AV campaign stated that a No to Av was a vote FOR proportional representation. This is a complete farse and disgusting, especially now that the politicians are saying that the overwhelming vote of No to AV is a democratic indication of the public rejecting electoral reform. Both the yes and especially the no to av campaigns were an embarassment and example of the inadequacies of politicians. Voting on the Alternative Vote System was an obvious circus stunt and a demonstration of the lack of democracy and regard, politicians have for public opinion especially when it contrasts their own selfish goals. The worst part is the statement of wanting greater public involvement at the same time. Please sign this petition for proportional representation and an introduction of cheap electronic referendum style voting directly on particular issues.
